How do 15-16 year-olds cope with their mothers who are going through menopause? We do know that it is hard with all those mood-swings, but how do we spend time with our moms without them thinking it is all only cosmetic?
Seems to me the only way to spend time with your mother without her thinking it's only cosmetic is to make sure it's not only cosmetic! If your mother is anything like mine, she's very smart and knows when people are pretending. So why not try to come up with something you both genuinely enjoy and have in common, and suggest that? That way, you can genuinely take pleasure in each other's company and I bet her mood will swing upward.
I'm glad you care so much about your mother. Have fun.
